Decorating an apartment is a fun thing to do in the spare time. But it can be changeling too if you have a very small space. You have to be wise when using the space in a small apartment so that all rooms are comfortable and functional. Think about the function more than the aesthetics. You can maximize the small room by using the simple home decor tricks and tips that you can find in various websites and books. The furniture pieces in the apartment should be versatile, simple and compact. Avoid the chunky and bulky ones for they will consume a lot of floor space in the room.
The modern living room can feature a chest of drawers that you can use as a buffet, entryway table, and a TV stand. The ottoman coffee table is also excellent to have for you can store extra items and knickknacks inside. The top of the coffee table can feature a stylish wooden tray used to hold food and drink. The cooking room should be well arranged because it will be filled with a lot of utensils, appliances and tools. The contemporary white kitchen cupboard is nice to set at the corner space. Then you can install the small kitchen appliances, cookbooks and dishes at above the cupboard. If you have a lot of pans and pots, use the ceiling to hold them by installing a line of hooks or pot rack.
Even though you focus more on the function when arranging a small apartment, it does not mean that you have to avoid the artistic look. The bare wall in the elegant dining room and bedroom is nice to adorn with colorful abstract wallpaper. A stylish stick wall mural which depicts the beautiful landscape or modern skyscraper is nice to spot on the plain wall. The illumination is needed in each room in the apartment. The dark apartment will look even smaller. Thus, you need to have more windows. To maintain privacy, install a sheer curtain or modern roller blinds. When the dark hours come, turn on the artificial lighting fixtures. The modern recessed lighting fixtures are superb to use as the general lighting.
