Salman Khan tops in Forbes India Celebrity 100 List


Forbes India has shared the complete list on their Twitter handle. Ranveer Singh, who recently married Deepika sits on eighth place with earnings amounting to Rs 84.67 crore in 2018.

Kapil's downfall began as soon as his show went off air in September previous year owing to dwindling TRPs and he put his career on backburner to focus on his health.

According to the publication, Salman earned Rs 253.25 crore through his films, TV appearances and brand endorsements between October 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018 (period under consideration). While Tiger Zinda Hai set new box office records and collected over Rs 300 crore, Race 3 stopped after scraping past Rs 100 crore.

Kohli, who recorded earnings of Rs 100.72 crore past year, finished second in the overall celebrities list.

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is at number 3 with Rs 185 crore total earnings while actress Deepika Padukone bags the number 4 slot with Rs 112.8 crore earnings.

Aamir Khan ranks sixth with Rs 97.5 crore, closely followed by his "Thugs of Hindostan" co-star Amitabh Bachchan at No 7 with Rs 96.17 as earnings.

Priyanka Chopra slipped from last year's seventh rank to the 49th position this year, while Shah Rukh Khan slipped by 11 positions, standing at No 13 this year. According to Forbes India, the earnings of Mammootty stands at 18 Crores. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is at the fifth place with Rs 101.77 crore.

Meanwhile, 2.0 star Rajinikanth featured at #14 with earnings of Rs 50 crore.

Nayanthara, the lady superstar of the south has earned Rs 15 crore and is placed at the 69th position.

Fifteen celebrities on the list are from South India - Tamil and Telugu film industries have seven actors each, while Kerala has one.
