Steve Kerr put the blame on himself after his Golden State Warriors lost to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. We've got obviously some of the great shooters in our starting lineup, but we've got a lot of guys that are coming off the bench or been in the lineup who are not 3-point shooters or aren't shooting 3s. Golden State's Draymond Green has missed the last eight games with a right toe sprain and Alfonzo McKinnie has missed the last eight games with left foot soreness.
"I've gotta do a better job, honestly", Kerr confessed.
Curry missed 11 matches as he was sidelined for three weeks with a groin injury. Golden State has attempted 710 3-pointers this season, compared to 820 by the opposition.
Curry said it might take some time to get back into the flow of the Warriors offense.
"The second half was better", Curry continued, "a little more aggressive, decisive".More news: Follow along: Honoring the life of President George H.W. Bush
Gordon Hayward enjoyed his best game of the season, scoring 30 points while also adding nine rebounds and eight assists to lead the visiting Boston Celtics to a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis. Tonight was probably a game that I could mark down as one of my worst performances as a coach. "I've got to do a better job", Kerr told reporters after the loss (via The Mercury News). "We were getting stops, getting out on the break and getting easy baskets". "None of that is on coach". He scored 27 points on 10-of-21 shooting, going 3 of 9 from 3-point range.
Detroit led by as many as 11 points in the second and led 54-46 at halftime. Casey's bench outscored Golden State's 42-13.
Atlanta (5-18) lost two the final two games of its three-game road trip, falling 124-109 at Oklahoma City on Friday. "They are playing really well and we didn't do anything to take them out of their comfort zone". He had 15 points in the fourth quarter.
"We've usually got Blake out there with the second unit, but today we were playing without him and were able to stretch the lead", Johnson said. We didn't play with the greatest sense of urgency tonight.
Steph Curry did not hold back while discussing his struggles in his return against Detroit.
