The Hindi dubbed version has impressively netted around 20 CR on its opening day. It is directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
Trade website Box Office India said the film was performing well in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Punjab, Bihar and Central India.
Director Shankar took to Twitter to express his happiness over the response to 2.0. Amy Jackson plays a robot in the movie and is the only actress in the entire star cast of 2.0. On the opening day of its release, the movie received huge occupancy rate across the nation including single screens and multiplexes despite releasing on a non-holiday and non-festival day.

The official trailer 2.0 set a benchmark on YouTube as it received 25 million views within 24 hours of its release.
The weekend collection for the film is expected to be high as advanced bookings for the shows continue. The film also casts Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and K. Ganesh in supporting roles. The buzz is that, if all goes well, the film could possibly break in to the Rs 10-crore club in the first four days itself.
