Bank says customers can keep $100 bills after ATM mistake


Christmas came early for some Bank of America customers in Houston after an ATM spit out $100 bills, which they will be allowed to keep.

Authorities didn't immediately say how much money was erroneously dispensed. Well the vendor accidentally put & 100 bills in place of $10 bills. Word quickly spread on social media, causing people to line up outside of the bank.

Unsurprisingly, some folks seemed to have taken advantage of the situation as a line formed at the ATM.

Authorities said the machine was giving customer $100 bills instead of $10 bills.

Regardless, such is the state of the world that the best Cyber Monday 2018 deal was from a malfunctioning ATM.

Bank of America also said in a statement that customers will be able to keep the additional dispensed money. We have resolved the matter.

The ATM was temporarily shut down after officials arrived at the scene.

Bank of America said yesterday, November 26 that they were aware of the cash machine error in Houston, as reported by KPRC-TV on the same day.

Customers who attempted to withdraw money in denominations of $10 instead received $100 bills.
