PUBG appears on PS4 store database, game due in December

There may be exciting rumours about PUBG coming to PS4, but for now Microsoft enjoys exclusivity to the popular title on Xbox One.

It looks like "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds", the game that is largely credited with sparking the popularity of battle royale shooting games like "Fortnite: Battle Royale", is set for release on PlayStation 4. But to give you a more concrete release date, video game analyst and Resetera admin Daniel Ahmad claimed that the game will be available on PS4 next month. However, a PS4 version of the game could be coming soon. Now, a content ID code and images of the game have popped up on Sony's servers and multiple sources are reporting that the game will debut on the PS4 in December.

Nevertheless, in an industry in which competition is generally healthy, the option to play another battle royale game on the PS4 appears a good move for Bluehole, Sony, and players alike.

Last month, there are rumors that a new map will be added to PUBG. PUBG did appear on Xbox game preview previous year and it was valued at $29.99.

The game is free to download for a limited time, which is flawless for players who were always tempted to buy the game on console but couldn't decide between console and PC.

In addition, PUBG Corp. has partnered up with DC to bring Harley Quinn and Joker skins into the game. It doesn't matter if you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription or not, the $30 battle royale game is still available for free.

Microsoft's official Xbox Twitter profile earlier this week teased big PUBG news for November 10 during the company's X018 event in Mexico City.
