Destiny 2 Free to Download on PC Until November 18

Keep in mind that like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Destiny 2 is exclusive to Blizzard's PC client, Battle.net and is not on Steam.

For those new members on Battle.net will have the opportunity to claim Destiny 2 as a "free gift". If players add the game to their account by then, you'll own the game permanently. This does not, of course, include the Forsaken expansion, but it includes all of the content up to that point. Think of it as shareware for a AAA game, or a gargantuan-sized demo.

If you are looking to try out Destiny 2 on PC this is the time to download it.

If you have any trouble securing your free copy of Destiny 2, note that Bungie is requiring new users to set up Blizzard SMS Protect before they can get their free game. It is available to play on Battle.net, the computer launch app which houses all of Blizzard's and Activision's games. Additionally, the Forsaken multiplayer mode Gambit will be free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC from November 9th to the 11th.

Destiny 2 PC is playable on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.
