Last year's cup 'didn't resonate with some, [but] it did resonate with others'. And no one loves to get people in the mood for the holidays like the execs at Starbucks, which, starting tomorrow, will debut its new collection of holiday cups - thus setting off everyone's least favorite tradition: hearing idiots get worked up about Starbucks cups.
Each year, as soon as Halloween is over, the coffee chain reveals its famous red cup.
What's going on: Starbucks unveiled its latest lineup of holiday cups Thursday. "We started (this season) by looking to the past", Kristy Cameron from the Starbucks Creative Studio said in a statement.
That's like an every-day Starbucks holiday happy hour, sort of.
Starbucks Holiday Flavors Reusable Red Cup
This year's "retro" cups are said to be inspired by the company's "own story" and "heritage", per the release.
Too bad, because Starbucks announced Thursday morning that its annual holiday cups will be available at locations nationwide starting November 2, along with a slew of seasonal coffee flavors such as Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte.
No matter your stance on these cup designs, if you want to wrap your mitts around a free reusable cup, if you are among the first 50 customers to purchase a holiday beverage at participating Starbucks Canada locations on November 2, you can get a reusable red cup for free, while supplies last. "We hope they feel the holiday magic that only Starbucks can create during this special time of year".
Apart from the red reusable cup, there are four new Starbucks cup designs that have been launched for the winter season, adding a little spice to your morning coffee order.More news: Trump sparks outrage with ‘racist’ immigration ad ahead of midterm elections
