We just started shooting Aladdin and I wanted to intro you guys to our new family...

Though we don't see (or hear) a lot in the first trailer, what we do see and hear should bring us right back to Aladdin '92. The wait is going to be so worth it.

Disney's "Aladdin" live-action remake arrives on the big screen next year, and today Will Smith revealed the first poster for the upcoming movie.

The poster shows a magic lamp emitting wisps of blue smoke and says simply, "Choose Wisely".

The Grammy-Award winning rapper and Academy-Award nominated actor shared the poster on social media with the caption, "LEMME OUT!" Will shined in various different Genie looks. As fans of the 1992 animated movie know, Aladdin frees Genie from the lamp and uses his first wish to become Prince Ali Ababwa, a worthy suitor for Princess Jasmine. The late Robin Williams voiced the legendary Genie character in one of his most memorable roles.

The live-action movie also stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, and Navid Negahban as the Sultan. Aladdin is hitting theaters some time in May. (And the uptick in caliber of animation should go without saying.) As such, Guy Ritchie's live-action remake of the modern classic has its work cut out for it, even if it isn't exactly vying to change the face of contemporary children's cinema in quite the same manner. The live-action versions of The Lion King and Dumbo will also debut in 2019.
