The BCCI announced the 12 man squad for the final test and also released India's squad for the first two ODIs.

The visitors will come in to the game with the return of their regular captain Jason Holder and lead pacer Kemar Roach which will add some confidence to the side after a humiliating defeat in Rajkot. Hardik Pandya & Kedar Jadhav, who both picked up injuries during the Asia Cup, continue to be on the sidelines. Also back in the mix is fast bowler Mohammad Shami, who last played an ODI over a year ago. However, 33-year-old Dinesh Karthik, who failed to capitalise his opportunity in the Asia Cup, misses out.

Kolkata Knight Riders' skipper Dinesh Karthik has been axed from the national team after his back-to-back flop shows in England and in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2018. Rohit Sharma, who captained India to an Asia Cup triumph, is the vice captain for the ODI series. Delhi wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been included in the team.
