Reports confirm that the 26-year-old suffered a recent "emotional breakdown" after two hospitalisations in relation to her 2017 kidney transplant and her ongoing battle with Lupus. One of Gomez's relatives then drove the "despondent" singer-actress from her home in Studio City, Calif.to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend was reportedly released from a local Los Angeles hospital, but was readmitted days later because her blood cell count remained low, sending her into an emotional crisis.

Gomez hasn't been seen in public for a few weeks and recently told fans she was taking another break from social media.

The "Wolves" singer, who suffers from the autoimmune disease lupus, is now being treated in an East Coast psychiatric facility. Not being able to leave, Selena reportedly "freaked out" and was trying to rip IV's out of her arm. She's surrounded by close family and has a lot of support.
