Aaron Ramsey wonder goal for Arsenal, Riyad Mahrez misses penalty

Former Arsenal legend Paul Merson does not believe the Gunners have a realistic chance of winning the title this season despite their recent good form.

With Arsenal heading into the global break on the back of a positive run of results there is talk they could now finish back in the top four - if not challenge for the title - having missed out on Champions League football for the last two seasons.

Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have made history in the Premier League following the Gunners 5-1 victory over Fulham.

Emery turned things around by introducing a fluid, fast-paced style, with high pressing that the fans have been really enjoyed so far this campaign but it has not all been plain sailing.

"Are they going to pay the kind of money he probably wants when you've got someone coming through like Iwobi?"

Despite their impressive run of results though, Merson sees a big gap between Arsenal and the teams above them due to their lack of stability at the back.

Both players scored a goal and had an assist off the bench - the first time in Premier League history two subs have achieved that feat in the same game for the same team.

Giggs has told The Mirror that he thinks Ramsey can be a 15-goal-a-season midfielder, and backed him to play for any elite club despite his injury woes over the years, adding that whoever signs Ramsey - and it could well be Liverpool - they will be getting a "very good player".

The team moved level on points with Tottenham and are now just two points off the top three of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace each while Aaron Ramsey was also among the scorer.
