United Kingdom price, specs and release date revealed by Google TODAY

So it's high time for a successor, which will be introduced under the name "Google Pixel Slate" together with the Pixel 3 and 3 XL. We'll have boots on the ground in New York City to bring you the latest from Google's big event. A recent report had revealed that the search engine giant may announce a smaller Pixel smartphone alongside the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

Did you know we have a YouTube Channel?

But the two Google Pixels 3 and 3 XL will not be the only products that will see the light tomorrow. Richard also put up an early hands-on of the device, confirming all the specification leaks about the device.

For instance, the Google Pixel 3 XL has a deep and ugly notch (obviously!), it comes with 4 GB RAM and Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Furthermore, the images published by MySmartPrice show the Pixel Slate with an aspect ratio of 3:2, two stereo speakers facing forward, a USB-C port and both a front and rear camera.

Google is also going to be launching the first Chrome OS tablet named the Pixel Slate Tablet at the upcoming event.

The company is expected to initiate the pre-orders for the new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL device from tomorrow onwards, immediately after the event. Half of the features in new phones these days are enabled through software, and for all the hardware leaks we've seen so far, it's much easier to keep software details a secret. This new Slate tablet by Pixel will go head-on against the new Apple iPad Pro, and it might also possibly come with a fingerprint sensor. Google Home Mini isn't due for a refresh, nor is Max.

Among other features, it'll have 16gb of RAM, an Intel Amber Lake processor, as well as a 3000x2000 display. Because Android highlights Google services, it's key to Google's business of selling ads through its search engine and other mobile apps.

The firm released the first pair of Pixel Buds to go along with the Pixel 2 a year ago, and now it's widely believed that it will release a refreshed pair to go with the new lineup of Pixel phones.

In either case, we've only got a day left until we know the truth.
