Captain Marvel's Trailer Is Finally Here, And It's Fantastic

We haven't met Captain Marvel in the MCU just yet, but she was heavily teased in the only post-credits sequence of Avengers: Infinity War.

While Captain Marvel will introduce Brie Larson's Carol Danvers to moviegoers for the first time, it looks like unlike any origin story from the previous phases of the shared universe. Indeed, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously revealed that she's the most powerful character in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, so her arrival will mark a significant change to the dynamic of the MCU we know and love. "Never occurred to me that one might come from above".

"I keep having these memories", she says. I see flashes. I think I have a life here.

Fury continues to narrate the footage: "Space invasion, big vehicle chase - truth be told, I was ready to hang it up until I met you today". The film is set for domestic release on March 8, 2019 with overseas rollout beginning two days earlier on March 6.

Spoilers for Infinity War follow, but the question on everyone's mind after the events of the latest Avengers movie is how Captain Marvel will play into Avengers 4.

Of course, we only get a quick look at Carol in her iconic red, blue, and gold suit, as she spends most of it in her Kree uniform.

The footage opens up with Carol Danvers in her Starforce uniform crash landing in a Blockbuster, pulling S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Nick Fury into a world of possibility. Jackson is in Captain Marvel along with Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Djimon Hounsou, Clark Gregg and Lee Pace.

As for the film, Captain Marvel takes place in the mid-1990s - that's before the very first Iron Man launched the MCU - and the superhero is the first one that Nick Fury meets.
