Marcus Mariota injures elbow in Titans' loss to Miami Dolphins

Delanie Walker was carted off the field after suffering a lower leg injury during the Tennessee Titans' Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Aside from Walker, the Titans also saw quarterback Marcus Mariota and offensive tackle Taylor Lewan suffer injuries in the Miami game.

Thankfully for the Dolphins faithful who stuck around Sunday, they got treated to a show, as Miami prevailed in a 27-20 track meet.

Walker sustained the injury during the fourth quarter of the Miami game while he was looking to extend a play after a catch. Less than four minutes later, Stills scored over the top of Tennessee's defense on a 75-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill, who made his comeback after missing the previous 20 games due to knee surgery. Darius Jennings returned the ensuing kickoff 94 yards for a Titans score, and they were driving when Miami's Reshad Jones helped to clinch the win with a 54-yard return after he intercepted Blaine Gabbert. "It was wild, but I'm really proud of our guys the way we responded". The teams went to the locker room during the delay and stayed on the field for halftime, which was shortened to three minutes.

Mariota hurt his throwing elbow in the third quarter, left the game for one play, returned to throw two interceptions and departed for good.

The game didn't resume until almost two hours later, when the AFC squads came onto the field to close the half. The second weather delay lasted more than two hours.

Grant snapped a 10-10 tie, scoring on a 102-yard kickoff return with 14:04 left in the fourth quarter. But the Dolphins answered back on Grant's gorgeous gallop.

Tannehill hit Stills for a 75-yard touchdown to give Miami a 24-10 lead.
