The company has confirmed to be hosting an event on 9 October 2018 and have already sent out invites to the global media, asking to reserve the date. Google will be also live streaming its event as always on its Made by Google YouTube channel at 11 AM EST.

At the event, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 3 smartphone in both regular and the larger XL sizes. We are unlikely to see a Wear OS-powered Pixel Watch at the event as Google has confirmed to Tom's Guide that its wearable device won't debut this year.

That report also shows an image of the device's alleged retail packaging and notes that Google will "finally supply headphones with its Pixel devices and what's more, they look like the $160 Pixel Buds, only they're wired". The only information missing was the launch date but now we have an official date.

As far as the internal hardware is concerned, Pixel 3 series is expected to come with 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, minimum 3000mAh (in Pixel 3)/ around 3,500 (or more in Pixel 3 XL), and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core.

The Google Pixel 3 would also have a dual camera system on the front side to allow for better selfies. Much of the Pixel 3 XL has already leaked out thanks to various unboxings by Russian YouTubers who were able to illegally obtain the unreleased phone.

We still have a month, so expecting more leaks conforming what are on the cards. At one point it seemed as if Google itself was driving the torrents of leaks to build up hype around its upcoming products. It is expected to sport a single 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

Pixel 3XL with 6.2 inches screen size will feature a notch bigger than iPhone X while the 5.5 inches Pixel 3 will be notchless. But, rumours suggest that the Pixel 3 XL will be priced around $750, which roughly translates to Rs 53,000, while the Pixel 3 will cost $650, which when converted to INR comes around Rs 45,000.

If you're hunting for your next smartphone the Pixel 3 XL is a top contender.

Its Pixel 3 XL sibling however has a pretty substantial cutout on its forehead.
