Negotiations broken between Man United and Yerry Mina

According to the recent report by Sunday Mirror, Man Utd are set to complete a £60m move for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld in the next 48 hours.

The potential transfer is a major boost for Mourinho and United following a frustrating summer that has seen them make only one major signing, with Fred coming in for £53m from Shakhtar Donetsk. Alderweireld is keen on the move, with a massive bump in pay expected to come his way upon the transfer's completion.

Everton reportedly agree a fee of £28.5m with Barcelona for defender Yerry Mina, who is also allegedly attracting interest from Manchester United.

However, Tottenham have made a decision to relax their stance on the asking price for Alderweireld.

Reports earlier this week claimed United have turned their attention to Mina, who will be 24 next month, following their failure to sign Leicester City's Harry Maguire. Mina's adviser, Felipe Russo, "angered" United by constantly demanding increased payments. Jose could possibly line the player up alongside Eric Bailly for the 2018-19 season. He went on to feature only 21 times throughout the previous campaign, contributing with a solitary assist in the process.

Alderweireld could wait a year to become available but Graves reckons he will be heading to Old Trafford in this window.

Mina impressed for his country at this summer's World Cup, scoring three goals as Colombia reached the second round, before being eliminated by Gareth Southgate's England side.

The transfer window approaches its final days and a number of interesting rumors have been circulating as major clubs prepare for the 2018-2019 season.

Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term to secure their continued participation in the Champions League.
