Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta teases Blackout Royale

The footage showcases a gory sniper kill, as well as some of the land, air, and sea vehicles that might be available in the battle royale mode. If you're eager to check out Black Ops 4 ahead of its release in October, fortunately, you've got a chance to do so in the Black Ops 4 beta.

But what everyone has been waiting to see is the promised Battle Royale mode, called Blackout.

This latest tweet came on July 30, the same day that the trailer for the Mulitplayer and Blackout modes of Black Ops 4 was released. The trailer also features a few blink-and-you'll-miss-em scenes showing a boat, and a glide suit that'll likely be what players start with.

So far, we only know that six maps will be included in the first beta tests. Additionally, fans will play new Specialists and reacquaint themselves with returning Specialists Nomad and Prophet, who will be bringing with them brand-new gameplay mechanics built for Black Ops 4.

Which you can see below at the 1:23 mark below. It will feature the Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Control game modes, playable on six maps. As I alluded to, the Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta starts this week... but only for PlayStation 4 owners.

PC players will have their own open beta which will take place from 6pm on Saturday, August 11 until Monday at 6pm, August 13. Like the multiplayer beta, it will hit PS4 first. The teaser reveals the Blackout beta will arrive in September.

Activision hasn't confirmed this yet, although more news is expected to be shared this week.
