Alexis Sánchez misses the start of Manchester United’s American tour

One club who have been linked with the 23-year-old is Manchester United but it seems we are willing to offer a player plus cash deal to land Milinkovic-Savic.

Alexis Sanchez is a notable absentee on Manchester United's preseason tour of the United States after the Chilean's tax problems have stopped him from getting a visa.

The club revealed that "a personal administrative issue" had prevented the forward from travelling to the U.S., while it's since been reported by the Times that Sanchez was denied a visa due to a previous tax fraud conviction from his time in Spain.

The Red Devils set off from Manchester Airport on Sunday night, and will take on Club America, San Jose Earthquakes, AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid during their time in the USA.

The BBC reported that Sanchez, who was training with United last week after a summer break without any World Cup action, was working with his lawyers to secure entry to the U.S. under a waiver scheme.

United are trying their best to sort things out with the USA government, but this is taking longer than expected.

Sterling finished the tournament with no goals and a solitary assist - against Panama - in six appearances, but his hard work and movement off the ball has won him plaudits from many.
