Royal family: Queen and Prince Philip to miss Prince Louis' christening

The three-year-old was walking hand-in-hand with her dad, Prince William, after her younger brother's christening service when she told waiting photographers: "You're not coming", according to The Sun.

The monarch and Philip attended the christening of Louis' older siblings George at the Chapel Royal in 2013 and Charlotte in the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, Norfolk in 2015.

Today was Prince Louis' christening, and Princess Charlotte showed up looking an bad lot like her mama, Kate Middleton, looked like when she was a little girl.

The now seven-year-old cake is a tier taken from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding cake when the pair Wednesday in 2011.

Prince Harry has purchased a first edition of the famous novel, Winnie-the-Pooh, for £8,000.

The christening took place at The Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace. Kate has been on maternity leave since the birth of Prince Louis, who was born on April 22, 2018.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, tweeted Monday that he was "delighted" to be christening the third child of Prince William and Catherine.

Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, was also in attendance, and looked lovely in an icy pale blue. The robe is a family heirloom that dates all the way back to 1841, when Queen Victoria's oldest daughter wore it for her christening.

Prince Louis has three godfathers and three godmothers altogether: Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, The Lady Laura Meade, Mrs Robert Carter and Miss Lucy Middleton.

Since officially being named the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has been working non-stop with official engagements and royal appearances.

A close friend of the royal explained that Harry has fond memories of Diana reading him bedtime stories.
