George Clooney injured in bike accident


George Clooney has been injured in a road accident after his motorbike was in collision with a auto in Sardinia, according to reports.

A local news agency and newspaper suggest Clooney has a suspected hip injury, but is not seriously injured.

He was treated and released, hospital officials said. "He is recovering at home and will be fine".

A photo of the scene showed a black scooter near a fire extinguisher, with a blue auto facing in the opposite direction, per Sky News, which reports the 57-year-old star was taken to a hospital by ambulance but suffered only minor injuries to his knee, and possibly pelvis, along with bruises. The actor suffered minor injuries, according to the BBC. Clooney described himself as being "banged up", CNN said.

Amal, 40, and George, along with their one-year-old twins, are now living in Sardinia for the summer, where he is filming his new TV series, Catch 22.

Clooney is staying on the Italian island while he films a new TV series, "Catch 22", based on the classic 1961 novel by Joseph Heller.

The two were married in 2014 at the Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice, Italy.
