Phanatic's flying hot dog hurts Phillies fan

A Phillies fan was injured at a game after being hit in the a FLYING HOT DOG. She's okay, but her face is pretty messed up.

McVay says she's suffering from a shoulder injury, so she was unable to swat the airborne hot dog away.

"I think it just came so fast".

McVay, a longtime Phillies fan, added that she doesn't plan to seek legal action, but said her experience should be a lesson for baseball fans everywhere.

But on Monday as the Phillies hosted the St. Louis Cardinals, that task went horribly awry for the Phillie Phanatic.

"And then the next thing I know he shot it in our direction, and bam!" Sources close to the team also told Bloomquist that the Phanatic "feels terrible" about causing her injuries. And it just hit me like that and I didn't even realize it.

"I have a small hematoma in my eye", McVay said. "It's going to go down the side of my face".

McVay suffered a black eye, and was taken to the hospital to ensure she hadn't suffered a concussion.

After her ordeal, does she have some words of caution for her fellow baseball fans? The Phillies' big green mascot, the Phillie Phanatic, who sailed the sausage into the stands with his hot-dog launching gun, the station reported.

McVay has a message for fans at future games so they avoid meeting a similar fate. "If it gives people a good laugh and if that makes somebody chuckle, then that's fine". "Because you never know".
