Los Angeles D.A. Reviewing Sexual Assault Case Against Sylvester Stallone

Los Angeles County prosecutors are reviewing sexual assault allegations against Sylvester Stallone.

According to Deadline, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed that an incident report and said that the case was presented by the Santa Monica Police Department on Wednesday.

It's unclear what the case details, but TMZ reported in December that a woman had filed a police report with the Santa Monica police, accusing the now-71-year-old actor of raping her in 1990. Media reports from previous year, however, outline at least two alleged incidents of sexual assault from his past.

"My client categorically denies the allegations", Stallone's attorney, Martin Singer, told CNN.

The allegation against the star comes in the wake of the #MeToo movement that has focused attention on sexual harassment in Hollywood and beyond.

A sexual assault case against Sylvester Stallone is being reviewed by the L.A. District Attorney's office.

The woman, who Stallone told Radar had visited him while he was filming a movie in Israel in 1987, claimed that he raped her three years later in his office in Santa Monica.

Around that time, police said they were investigating a complaint of alleged sexual misconduct by Stallone in the 1990s, Reuters reported. "No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone".
