Few showers, storms possible Tuesday: Hot and humid rest of the week

Hot and humid. Partly cloudy. The best chance of rain is in eastern Missouri.

Temperatures will only fall into the lower 70s tonight before rebounding into the upper 80s to low 90s again Sunday afternoon. Wind: S 10-20; gusty.

Monday we will continue the trend of wet weather with another 50% chance throughout the day. Then by Friday, another front gets close and will increase our rain chances for Friday and Saturday before pushing offshore for the weekend.

Rain and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday (June 12) in New Orleans, mainly in the afternoon, according to a forecast from the National Weather Service.

The heaviest rains stayed south of the area overnight, but triggered flash flooding at Philadelphia's Frankford Creek.

Next week finally brings some relief with more seasonal temperatures with storm chances returning late Monday into Tuesday.

WEDNESDAY | Scattered storm chances, partly cloudy. There is a complex of showers and storms moving through IL and IN thi which will impact the Miami Valley this afternoon. Thursday looks mostly sunny as well with highs in the low-80s.

Scattered thunderstorms will continue to push through the Tri-State through the early evening hours before weakening out the scattered showers overnight.
