Origin Access Premier Subscription Will Get You EA Games "Before Anyone Else"


The publisher announced a new gaming subscription for the PC, where users will get instant access to new EA games, like upcoming Anthem and Battlefield V.

What do you think about Origin Access Premiere and game-subscription services? You can opt for vanilla Origin Access as well for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year.

According to Eurogamer, Origin Access Premier will give subscribers access to new games as they arrive. EA's new Origin Premier subscription tier fixes that by offering gamers the latest titles as well, for a fixed monthly fee. The service will allow its members full access to all games on the Origin library.

Microsoft followed suit with the Xbox Game Pass and then one-upped EA by adding Microsoft exclusive games to the service on the day that they launch. Wilson also made reference to the publishing giant's recent acquisition of Israel-based streaming service GameFly, saying that streaming has had a profound impact on the games market.

At the moment you can sign up to be notified when Origin Access Premier is available. This means unlimited playtime on the full versions of the games starting five days before the launch. It's an interesting experiment from EA, particularly when you consider the PC audience hasn't exactly been kind to its advances due to its games sporting consumer unfriendly DRM like Denuvo.
