It'll come out simultaneously for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, though it's a safe bet that EA Access and Origin Access will offer their usual Play First Trials several days earlier on Xbox One and PC respectively.
More information on Anthem and Battlefield V.
It's time to get excited Star Wars fans, as EA just announced a new single player Star Wars game. Kicking things off today in sunny LA, EA brought its big names out in full force - and gave us a few surprises too.More news: Stephan Lichtsteiner joins Arsenal on free transfer
They will also get early access to Madden 19, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Battlefield V and Anthem.
And two games were outright launched during the EA Play: Unravel 2, a co-op sequel to the 2016 EA-published puzzle platformer, and Command and Conquer: Rivals, a new free-to-play, Clash Royale-like spin on the classic RTS series for iOS and Android.
The game looks to feature four separate classes, Ranger, Colossus, Interceptor, and Storm, which are represented by the Javelin exosuits you can choose from. Unlike Destiny's Tower, a social space that always brims with players dancing around and/or ignoring each other, you'll have this little part of the world to yourself (aside from the NPCs, obviously). More's the pity. Citadel was ace, though, so if there's a breath of that sort of camaraderie in Anthem we might get to enjoy some of that BioWare magic after all. Whether plunder, revenge, or glory lures you onward, your choices will irrevocably change you - and the world around you.
You'll still be building relationships and maintaining friendships, but you won't be falling for any specific characters the way we did in BioWare's previous games. Additionally, players will be able to customize the various suits with cosmetic appearances and gear. The team will do this by continuously adding new stories missions and locations to the game after launch.
