Samsung has confirmed that it will officially launch the Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) in India at an event in Mumbai on May 21. Samsung India has also shared a video on Twitter that shows off the front side of the phone while also revealing the date of sale of the Galaxy J6 in India which is May 22.
With the smartphone market in India burgeoning with new users and increasing demands, it will be interesting to see whether Samsung's new Galaxy J6 manages to woo the customers.
However, it is important to note here that generally, the MRP is a bit higher than the market operational price of a smartphone. The media invite sent out by the brand revealed a silhouette of a smartphone with Infinity display and read "Say Hello To Infinity & More". "Samsung doubled its share in the premium-tier ($600-800), but faced tough competition in the mid and low-tier segments from Chinese OEMs (Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Xiaomi)", the report noted.

While the rear camera will have a 13MP sensor, the front-facing camera bears an 8MP sensor with LED Flash. Both the devices run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung Experience UI laid on top. It comes in two memory configurations - 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. Additional features include the ability to make cashless payments through Samsung Pay and fast charging, both of which could be the selling points for Samsung to regain the market that's dominated by Xiaomi. The Galaxy A6+ features a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels.
The other Galaxy J4 is expected to have a 5.5-inch HD display with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio and will be powered by Exynos 7570 chipset with 2GB/3GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery.
