Rage 2 First Gameplay Trailer Revealed, New Story Details Included

Bethesda will be acting as a publisher for this title, and we can definitely expect some fresh details regarding Rage 2 from its E3 showcase on June 10. Arguably, this is a smart business decision by Bethesda and developers id Software and Avalanche Studios, as the game will not be impacted by any loot box laws that are implemented between now and the game's 2019 release date. RAGE 2 brings together two studio powerhouses - Avalanche Studios, masters of open world insanity, and id Software, the gods of the first-person shooter - to deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.

With this in mind, many will be glad to see that Rage 2 will not follow suit of so many other games and will instead leave loot boxes out.

A vast and varied landscape to explore, from lush jungles and treacherous swamps to sun-scorched deserts.

As for the story, you'll be playing as Walker, the last Ranger of Vineland, who was born into a world thrown into chaos following an asteroid strike.

Gangs run rampant and what's left of society crumble under the iron fist of tyrannical leaders, known as the Authority.

"Now you'll have to rage for justice and freedom", says Bethesda in a statement.

We've got a lot more to show you from RAGE 2. The gameplay reveal was due tomorrow and Betehsda Softworks has finally shared the gameplay footage for RAGE 2. "You see, in a world where there are no rules, insanity rules". Throughout the course of the game, he'll also learn to apply his Nanotrite abilities to his weapons, which will allow him to "unleash absolute hell on his foes". When timed correctly, Overdrive is more than enough to tip the scales in a tricky fight.

The final bit of information we have for now is the release window. Luckily we won't have to wait that long to get a better window, E3 is just around the corner.

RAGE 2 is now set to launch in Spring 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The colour pink was also a big part of the video, but we do not know how it will affect the art of the style of the game.
