Ryan Reynolds Sounds A Bit More Hopeful About Deadpool 3 Now

Deadpool 2 feels most of the time like a roast of the superhero genre-the X-verse, MCU, and DCEU all get taken to task in nearly equal measure-and it must be a ball to write all those gags, that often go so far over the top into gross-out or violent dark humor that you have to laugh at the audacity.

The soundtrack arrives via Sony Classical on the same day as the film (Tuesday 15th May), featuring compositions from Guardians of the Galaxy maestro Tyler Bates. So Wade pulls together an X-Force - including Domino (Atlanta's Zazie Beetz), Bedlam (Terry Crews), the Vanisher (a surprise A-list actor), Zeitgeist (It's Bill Skarsgard), Shatterstar (Lewis Tan) and a guy with no powers whatsoever (Rob Delaney) - to stop Cable and save the boy.

"I don't f**ing know how to play this", he exclaimed when trying to jump off a wall in the game. As soon as the mask was taken off, the entire place erupted with a shock as none other than Ryan Reynolds, the star of 'Deadpool', stood on the stage with a huge smile on his face.

"Deadpool 2" premieres in theatres on May 18. The humor in the film matches his pace and attitude, which makes the moments when Deadpool 2 reaches for genuine emotion all the more ridiculous and unbelievable. Go see Deadpool 2.

Cable's motivations eventually get explained and without going too far into spoiler territory, his backstory is a bit derivative of Rian Johnson's Looper. The first Deadpool was in the works for years before 20th Century Fox finally greenlit a relatively low-budgeted R-rated adaptation of the Marvel Comics character.

Then again, Deadpool isn't your everyday Superhero.

Deadpool 2's director Leitch isn't just the man behind Keanu Reeve's career-reviving John Wick but Charlize Theron's kick-ass Atomic Blonde, too. Pointing out problems doesn't do much when you just make the same problems. "I think going forward it would be an X-Force movie, which would be his team, so to speak".

"We're asking that when you see Deadpool 2, you don't say a f***ing word about the fun s**t in the movie". To the actor's faux anger, one of the judges thought he was Donald Trump before the big reveal. Similarly, if you hated the first one, you probably won't find much to love about the follow-up either. You want to have a good time?

While Reynolds did confirm that X-Force doesn't have a completed script yet, he sounds excited for what's to come in Deadpool's corner of the X-Men film universe. The straight-laced metal monster Colossus (voiced by Stefan Kapicic) ferries him back to Professor Charles Xavier's X-Mansion where Deadpool will - hopefully - heal his tired soul just enough to kill himself and join his beloved Vanessa in the sweet hereafter.

Deadpool 2 is released on Tuesday 15 May.
