Red Dead Redemption is one of the most critically acclaimed video games of all time, so, it's understandable people are excited about its long-awaited sequel. In terms of chronology, the impending title is portrayed as a prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption game. The era of the wild west is drawing to an end as federal agents look to eradicate the last remaining outlaw gangs with those not willing to surrender, killed. The trailer dives deeper into the dark tone of the Red Dead Redemption 2 story, and gives a glimpse of a familiar face from the first game in the series. For better or worse, RDR2 is very much a crafted world, albeit a very, very big one. Their games are few and far between but usually dominate the industry for years. GTAV has shipped almost 100 million copies worldwide, making it the third best-selling game of all time. Some of these mechanics - like decaying animal corpses, for instance - have rarely been showcased in gaming before, and it will be interesting to see how it works in action.
However, the most impressive takeaway from this demo is the quality of the game's central plot and your ability to influence it. It was also never ported to modern consoles nor PC.
Following some previous delays, RDR2 is set to release on October 26 for PS4 and Xbox One.
