Yakuza Kiwami 2 Release Date Announced for the West

Yakuza Kiwami 2 was released in Japan on December 7, 2017, marking what might be the quickest localization turnaround of any game in this series yet. Fate, however, has other things in mind for the legendary Dragon of Dojima, and Kiryu finds himself back on the front lines of a potential all-out war.

Unfortunately, there was no word on whether Hokuto ga Gotoku (Fist of the North Star) would be coming stateside or not, but perhaps if Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2 sell well, Sega will bring it over as well. Visit the Yakuza Experience Website here: http://yakuza.sega.com/experience/.

Big Hits, Minigames - Kiryu hasn't let his time away from the front lines boring his skills in combat or leisure.

Pull off a wide variety of Heat Actions, and challenge new minigames such as Golf Bingo, the original arcade release of Virtual-On, the return of Yakuza 0's Cabaret, Majima's revamped Clan Creator, and more.

Previous year we got Yakuza Kiwami, which was a remake of the PlayStation 2 original brought into the modern HD PS4 era.

Sato-san mentioned that Yakuza 0 is a game that is particularly beloved even within the Yakuza development team, so the idea of creating a Yakuza 0-2 (which would be set between Yakuza 0 and the first game of the series) has been bounced around among developer. I won't spoil it for you, but since the game has been released in Japan, you can look it up if you're truly curious.
