Fortnite's new Battle Pass launches soon, here's what to expect

You can grab the Battle Pass for Season 3 for 950 V-Bucks (about $10), or catch the new Battle Bundle which gives you the Battle Pass for Season 3, and 2800 V-Bucks at a 40% discount. As the company revealed, you'll still be able to complete the battle pass in 75-150 hours with the help of boosts and challenges provided in it, however, you can buy your way into any tier for 150 V-Bucks.

More items are set to enter the vault as time goes one to make sure the balance of the game remains the same while they continue to add new weapons. Epic admits it can be frustrating now, as certain things (like shrubs) will be destroyed, while other things prevent you from building. Arguably, the biggest change coming with the update is the nerf of the double pump shotgun.

Epic says the Season Three Battle Pass features 100 total tiers which is 30 more than last season. Epic states that players will still take the same amount of time to complete them all though. In fact, the hybrid console managed to top the lifetime sales of the Wii U after just ten months, but there were consequences to launching the Switch in the middle of a new generation.

Season 2 wraps up today, February 20 with Season 3 beginning immediately afterwards. Specifically, it's shared the improvements to building that it's making for Battle Royale and Save the World, including some new options that should create a more pleasant experience all around.

However, some players are able to do away with the reload time by simply switching weapons back and forth. Now we can tell you that Epic has finally revealed the first details about what awaits. Patch 3.0.0 would only be applicable for the pump shotgun but, depending on more fan feedback, the same adjustment could also be made on other weapons. The official Fortnite Twitter account has also teased the release of skydiving trails as part of Season 3, too, so expect one or two to be tier rewards in the upcoming Battle Pass. Weekly Challenges stack and can be completed any time before the season ends, so if you buy a pass mid-season you'll still have access to all of the previous Weekly Challenges.
