Woman Doesn't Trust Security Staff With Purse So She Enters X-Ray Machine

The freaky incident occurred on February 11 at a train station in Dongguan, southern China's Guangdong Province, according to Pear Video.

A now viral picture shows the unnamed woman on all fours on the conveyor belt, while staff stood watching.

The woman reportedly didn't trust train security staff with her handbag.

She further jumped onto the conveyer belt and vigorously followed her handbag all the way to the other side.

Security officers were so shocked that they did not even try to stop the woman who quickly collected her other bags and went on to catch her train.

Extraordinary images show the female passenger, still wearing her high-heeled shoes, kneeling down on the conveyor belt behind her belongings as they went through the check.

A staff member directs the bloke to the machine to put his bag inside and the flyer doesn't realise that it's for luggage only.

The incident has since made global headlines and prompted a warning from the station staff - a warning which we read on the Chongqing Morning Post website after using Google Translate.

Video from the digital news platform Pear Video, linked on the Facebook page of the state-run People's Daily newspaper and widely picked up online, showed a guard apparently telling the woman that, yes, small bags need to go in the machine, too.

A woman was so concerned about the safety of her bag that she refused to let it out of her sight for a second.

It is unclear what the woman was carrying in her handbag but it is likely to have been wads of cash traditionally given as a gift for Chinese New Year.
