Tottenham Deserved Victory Vs Juventus- Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino admits "we can not compare with Juventus, they've won everything". He's one of the best defenders in the Premier League so he won't be short of offers if he wants out.

"Obviously, Paulo Dybala is a great player who knows how to make the difference", said Pochetino, while speaking to the Italian press. We need to play with freedom and clear ideas.

'We are building on every season.

They are fresh from a 2-0 victory against Fiorentina and have let in just a goal in their last 16 games across all competitions.

Pep Guardiola's side took command of the last-16 first-leg tie within half an hour in Switzerland as Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero all scored within a 10-minute period.

"I think Christian had an awesome game".

"I should have scored the header but you have to be ready for the next one and I finished it off".

"They are a very good team with very, very good players. It showed character", he said. For me, Ryan is a player who will always be special. Competing is different. We were lucky to have Newport.

The biggest test for a well-drilled Juventus side will be to keep English global Harry Kane, who recently scored his 100 league goal, away from causing any damage. However, Higuain smashed the resulting penalty off the bar and Tottenham escaped.

"We'll try to win the Champions League but if you believe a draw like tonight could depress us, I don't accept it".

Spurs are set to host Juventus at Wembley in the second leg on March 7 - and it's a match that is not to be missed.

"We'll have to see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow, so basically it depends on my alarm clock", he joked.

"Second half we had opportunity to score more but the team played very well".

'To get there is the first step.

"Then it was to start another game and the team started to show the performances of the last few weeks".

Spurs, inevitably, are unable to play their new signing Lucas Moura - making their squad a bit thinner.

Pochettino admits when the former Fulham midfielder is able to train regularly without any fitness issues, he can produce the type of displays which have led to him being labelled a genius by his current manager.
