The Android 8.1 Oreo release for the Nokia 8 was confirmed by HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas on Twitter. The test has now ended and the company has started rolling out Android 8.1 officially to all Nokia 8 owners. The news of rollout comes on the back of a massive price cut for the Nokia 8 in India, making it now one of the lowest priced phones in the country to offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.
Coming to the specs of the Nokia 6 (2018), it features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display and a more sophisticated design than its predecessor. The model essentially improves upon chipset, RAM, and storage. The front of the smartphone is expected to house a 16MP camera with no LED flash. With this update, Nokia 8 has become the only phone other than the Google Pixel and Nexus phones to receive Android 8.1 so far. Nokia 6 (2018) comes with dual view mode which will allow you to capture feeds from both front and rear camera at the same time.
