Julia Louis-Dreyfus misses SAG Awards, still makes history

While accepting the award for Veep's ensemble win, her co-star Matt Walsh joked that Dreyfus was in NY for a play, but's unclear if that's why the actress chose to sit this one out.

HBO has stated that it "will adjust the production as needed" following news of Louis-Dreyfus' diagnosis. She wrote a special message updating her fans on her condition, adding there is a silver lining to the situation. The first honoree announced that night was Macy, who took home the award of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, thanks to his stunning performance on "Shameless".

He also praised Louis-Dreyfus' willingness to share her experience of illness online, with the actor recently missing the SAG Awards, but tweeting that she has to "admit it's pretty fun to watch in my pj's".
