Nintendo Introduces the Labo Cardboard Kits for Switch

With the Switch becoming the ideal opportunity to revive some games largely lost on the WiiU (the Switch has already seen updated versions of Mario Kart 8 and will be getting updated versions of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors later this year, for example), this may be the flawless situation for Miyamoto's original concept for Project Giant Robot, which had its plug pulled a year ago as the company was preparing for the launch of the Switch. Variety Kit allows you to make five different Toy-Con projects including two RC cars, a fishing rod, a house, a motorbike, and a piano. There are similarly symbiotic relationships between the console's controllers and the other playable cardboard devices: you can steer and accelerate a motorbike via a pair of detached handles and a pedal; the notes you play on the surprisingly realistic keyboard are detected via an infrared pairing of the controller and reflective strips on the keys.

They can turn the Switch into a fishing rod, a steering-wheel, and even an intricate mechanical robot suit which gamers can use to play bespoke mini-games. Once the items are built and hooked up, it will allow you to utilize them in exclusive games that come with the bundle.

The Toy-Cons line will be available in April. However, the Nintendo Switch has turned into a monster hit.
