Caddo and Bossier Schools closed Wednesday, Jan. 17


Jackson Public School District will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018.

All after-school care, tutoring, athletic events, practices, and any other extra-curricular activities in Jefferson Parish have also been called off this afternoon. Cyprian's Episcopal School and St. Patrick's Catholic School.

Elementary schools will start at 9 a.m., middle schools will start at 9:20 a.m. and high schools will start at 9:30 am.

Audubon Charter School will dismiss at 2 p.m. Tuesday and the Audubon Curriculum meeting scheduled for tonight at Tulane University is cancelled.

The Paris-Henry County Jaycees announced Tuesday that they will be taking entry forms for the World's Biggest Fish Fry pageants from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday night at the Krider Performing Arts Center.

Hynes Charter School has canceled all after school activities.

Douglas County has canceled all after-school activities and programs on Tuesday.

Jeri Grogan, director of Crimson Christian Academy, said school is closed for the day. Pierre A. Capdau at Avery Alexander will dismiss at 2:45 pm.

If the campuses are not able to be opened the system will announce a closure for all staff by 8 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, January 22 and 23, will NOT be used as make-up days for students and will remain optional teacher workdays.

At 12:57 p.m., Chattahoochee Valley Community College announced it will be closed Wednesday.

Delta State University will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16. A decision regarding school on Thursday, January 18 will be made as more definitive information becomes available.
