Barcelona's Arda Turan joins Basaksehir

Barcelona have loaned former Turkey global Arda Turan to Istanbul Basaksehir for the rest of this season and two more, the Liga leaders said in a statement on Saturday.

The two clubs had reached a loan agreement for the 30-year-old Turkish worldwide, but did not disclose the financial value of the deal, reports Efe.

"Barcelona and Basaksehir agree on a loan deal for the Turkish player for the remainder of the season and two more".

Barcelona and the Istanbul club agreed on a one-and-a-half year loan with an optional extra year, state broadcaster TRT Spor and Hurriyet daily reported.

Turan will now link up with Ex-Manchester City duo, Emmanuel Adebayor and Gael Clichy at the Turkish club.

Basaksehir will pay Barca in variables dependent on a number of factors, including appearances and goals, as well as the team's success with Turan at the club.

"In that time he has won 6 trophies: 1 league championship, 2 Copa del Rey, 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup and 1 European Super Cup".

Arda opted to join Barca from LaLiga rival Atletico Madrid in July 2015, but a transfer ban imposed on the club meant he did not debut until the next January. Find us on Facebook too!
