GeForce Experience Gets New Freestyle, Ansel Features

While PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds picked up some last minute graphics drivers optimizations from Nvidia towards the end up last month to coincide with the title's 1.0 release on PC, the game has for some time included support for ShadowPlay Highlights.

To ease that experience and somewhat standardize the process, Nvidia has updated its GeForce Experience with a new feature: post-processing effects.

Nvidia Freestyle is available now through the GeForce Experience Beta. Dubbed GeForce Now, the service will let you stream PC games to your PC or Mac from the cloud, utilizing the power of high-performance GeForce GTX graphics cards. My biggest concerns about game streaming services are latency and internet connections, but Nvidia had the service setup using a 50mbps connection on the Wynn hotel's Wi-Fi.

As PCGamesN points out, Freestyle will let gamers adjust colour balance, depth of field, anti-aliasing, vignette and as many as 15 other filters to give their games a unique and different look than the developers originally intended.

There will even be a color blind mode for those who find themselves unable to play certain games because its coloring makes it too hard to differentiate different aspects of the game's aesthetics. Not only that adds new features, instead, regarding security it adds a layer that helps mitigate the Meltdown and Spectre flaw that was published last week.

You need to enable "Enable Experimental Features" in the GeForce Experience client after driver installation to enable the feature.
