OnePlus 5 Gets Face Unlock with OxygenOS Beta Update


The Face Unlock in now available in the third beta for the OP5 and is expected to contain some bugs. When the Android Oreo update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T rolled out, this app was replaced by one called "FactoryMode" - but at the moment it's triggering a warning from Google Play Protect.

Oxygen OS Open Beta 1 will update the phone to Android Oreo, give you some unique, new OnePlus features and add December's security patch from the company. The 5T will also benefit from standard Oreo newbies such as PiP mode, smart text selection and new autofill settings. The launcher also has a few tweaks, including the merger of app shortcuts and icon options as well as the option of uploading brag-worthy photos to Shot on OnePlus.
