Red Dead Redemption II Release Date Possibly Leaked

The Red Dead Redemption 2 release date for the PS4 and Xbox One may not have been officially revealed yet, but a Danish retailer coolshop.dk suggests it might be out sooner than you think.

Luckily, a Danish retailer who previously leaked the release date for Grand Theft Auto V's remaster months in advance has listed Red Dead Redemption 2 for a June 8th, 2018 release date. If Coolshop's now-redacted release date is to be believed, it seems we'll be returning to the wild west this summer instead.

While this doesn't bode particularly well for this leak, it's the retailer itself - Dutch-based Coolshop - which is of interest as it's the same place that correctly leaked the official launch date for Grand Theft Auto V.

It's not the most credible of sources. And with fans clamoring for any tidbit of information they can gather on Rockstar's upcoming western, this is juicy gossip for late December.

The title is going to be the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they survive in the vast and rugged heart of America by robbing, fighting, and stealing. We know that. But ads help us pay the bills. Usually games developed by Rockstar are out on Tuesdays and June 8 falls on a Friday. And the second, while skirting briefly around the game's narrative, again spend a majority of its time chewing up scenery.

Still, it looks as though we're less than six months away from one of the biggest games in years hitting our consoles. Don't forget though, all this talk of Read Dead Redemption II's release date is all speculative at this point. The GTA V leak announced the game's release on a Friday and the game finally came out on a Tuesday four days later.
