When police arrived at the scene, the 21-year-old told police that he had a Ruger 9 mm that may have been stolen.
Police arrested the intoxicated individual for trespassing, according to The Houston Chronicle, and discovered a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle, handgun, shotgun, and a lot of ammunition in his top-floor hotel room overlooking downtown Houston.
Police said hotel security officers confronted the unruly man early Sunday at the bar at Houston's Hyatt Regency Hotel and called for assistance when he refused to be subdued. While the man initially faced charges of drunk and disorderly conduct, he now faces additional charges of trespassing and unlawful carry.
An off-duty Houston Police Department officer encountered a man who was acting erratically and belligerent. Police also confiscated his truck and were searching it for more weapons. The arrest comes just hours before the hotel is set to host its annual New Year's Eve celebration.
