This is a unsafe storm!

Highs remain between 10-15 degrees to start off the first couple days of 2018.

North of Interstate 80, residents can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow, with higher accumulations possible in some spots. The snow may start falling as soon as Friday afternoon.

Watch for areas of blowing & drifting snow from Belgrade to Three Forks and near Norris.

Light snow will arrive in the area this morning, the weather service said.

Snowfall is likely to begin in Licking County between 4 and 7 p.m.in southwestern Licking County, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas impacted most will be: Butte, Georgetown Lake, Garrison to Avon, MacDonald Pass and Homestake Pass.

- If you're planning to go outside to ring in the new year this weekend in the District, you'll want to bundle up as a brutal cold front continues to sweep over the region.

Recent model runs are showing the potential for slightly higher snowfall totals than previous forecast models.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for portions of southeastern in and southwestern OH from 4:00 p.m. Friday until 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
