This morning, photographer Betsy Bissen posted assault allegations against Twins third baseman Miguel Sano. I wasn't going to give up my fight though. The statement continued: "I have the utmost respect for women, especially those working in professional sports, and I deeply sympathize with anyone who has experienced sexual harassment. There is no place for it in our society".
Major League Baseball has begun an investigation, said spokesman Pat Courtney. "No, he didn't rape me, but he sure did assault me".
Bissen said Sano tried to force her into a bathroom following an autograph signing in 2015 at a store she volunteered at. During the signing, he kept trying to flirt with me (I didn't reciprocate). After the event, Sano grabbed Bissen, who had been taking photos of Sano interacting with fans, by the wrist and insisted that she accompany him as he shopped, Bissen wrote.
After sending the tweet, the photographer said she had been inundated with messages from social media trolls who doubted her story while noting that she had nothing to gain from telling it. He then leaned down and tried to kiss me, more than once. Betsy Bissen also alleges that sexual harassment she endured while covering the Twins "started off with the first base coach hitting on me nearly every game I was at".
". Every time I have to hear how great people think Miguel Sano is, I'm reminded of how bad he actually is and how he hurt me". The eight-time victor won by 26½ minutes but was penalized one hour after deliberations by a five-person jury in Hobart.
"Every time I have to hear about how great people think Miguel Sano is, I'm reminded of how bad he actually is and how he hurt me", she concluded. Their statement said the team and Major League Baseball "take these allegations very seriously" but had no further comment. I screamed, no one came to help me. As we got outside, the athlete decided he needed to use the restroom.More news: Jio to Buy Reliance Communication Assets, Telecom Sector Consolidates Further
Sano, who made the American League All-Star team in July but missed almost all of the season's final six weeks with a stress reaction in his left shin that required surgery in November, has spent much of December at the team's Fort Myers, Fla., training complex.
Bissen is also a photographer for the St. Paul Saints and the Minnesota Zoo, according to her Twitter bio.
Bissen did not reveal Sano's name until the final paragraph. Former Twins player Trevor Plouffe reached out to Bissen via Twitter after hearing the news. However, Bissen said on Twitter that, "The Twins knew nothing about what happened to me". Current Twins pitcher Trevor May added, "I'm sorry Betsy".
