Now, thanks to the Philadelphia 76ers, the founding fathers have what they were hoping for all those years ago: an National Basketball Association jersey inspired by the historic document.
The "City Edition" uniforms display elements of racing that were intended when the team was first named the Pacers in 1967. The Association is almost identical to the white home uniforms Dallas wore last season while the Icon is the Mavericks' typical road blue jersey. Their 'Statement' jerseys, however, put a new twist on the red jerseys we had seen in years prior, featuring cursive-esque font on the front. The jerseys are part of the league's new jersey partnership with Nike.

The Lakers have turned over the City Edition designs to honor some of their most famous players as part of the "Lore Series".More news: A touch of magic, Wilson laughs off controversial equaliser
