Unemployment rates in Alabama hit record lows

The jobless rate in Arkansas rose slightly in November, according to a report from the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services.

The Texas jobless rate has improved for the seventh month in a row with Number unemployment dropping to a record low of 3.8%.

The state unemployment rate reached 3 percent in both September and October, its lowest level since the federal government began tracking the statistic in 1976.

The figures come seven years after a severe recession and show that conservative states like Alabama and MS, as well as more liberal Washington and California, are sharing the improvements.
