Laptops are lovely, but one thing they lack is a ton of screen real estate, and when you tend to be stuck to a desk, you can take advantage of a bigger monitor.
LG will also introduces the 34WK95U 34-inch UltaWide model.
The first monitor that will be gracing the company's booth at CES 2018 is the 32-inch UHD 4K monitor - 32UK950. Nano IPS technology comprises light-absorbing nanometre size particles which are applied to the display's LED lighting for getting a more impressive colour reproduction. By enhancing the intensity and purity of on-screen colors, LG claims this monitor will be able to deliver a more accurate and lifelike viewing experience.More news: Amazon acquires wireless security camera company
Other features include support for 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and the VESA DisplayHDR 600 standard (meaning the monitor's brightness is as high as 600 nits and can display HDR content even in bright indoor lighting). LG refers to the new monitors as upgraded models of existing popular displays, and all three of them will support the company's Nano IPS display technology, as well as the DisplayHDR 600 spec. In addition, model 34WK95U features a Thunderbolt 3 port, which enables the transmission of 5K resolution images at 60Hz with a single cable. With its lovely signature Edge-ArcLine Stand and stunning 4-Side Edge Borderless Design where the picture literally drops off the edge, there is no mistaking this LG monitor for anything else. The star of the bunch is likely the 34WK95U, a 34-inch ultrawide monitor with a (roughly) 21:9 aspect ratio and a 5K resolution. Since it is an ultra-wide screen, naturally is ideal for those who multi-task (video editors, photographers, software developers) on several programs or softwares. The trick behind these high-quality HDR displays is in a technology LG calls Nano IPS.
Alongside that large resolution it will have a Thunderbolt 3 port, slim bezels and a professional slant with lots of color grading options, as per ArsTechnica. The Thunderbolt™ 3 interface is ideal for power laptop users who desire fast video, audio and data transfers without the need for a separate AC adapter. Again the Edge-ArcLine Stand, and 4-Side Edge Borderless Design are utilised.
LG is expected to reveal some more details on its new monitor line up at the CES 2018 conference. This one is a QHD display, also using a Nano IPS technology panel but with NVIDIA G-Sync technology support.
