"We urge party faithfuls and indeed Nigerians in general to join hands with the Prince Secondus led National Executive as we begin the onerous task of building a PDP, strong enough to play it's role in national building".

"You will recall that I said that the PDP must be the ultimate victor at the end of the contest".

Secondus also observed that the former ruling party has learnt its lesson and is now better placed to toe a new path of progress for itself and the county by sticking to the core values of democracy.

Uche Secondus was consequently declared victor of the election by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee and immediate past Governor of Benue State, Mr Gabriel Suswam.

According to Ihedioha who was also the 2015 Imo PDP, gubernatorial candidate, his conviction was based on the abilities of the newly elected national officers of the party.
