Amazon's Prime Video app now works with Apple TV

Users will be able to find content on Amazon Video simply by speaking or typing their queries into the Apple TV's robust search feature. As we didn't have access to an Apple TV at the time of writing, we cannot confirm whether it has rolled out officially.

Earlier this week, Google made a decision to once again yank access to YouTube from Amazon's Echo Look video-streaming devices as well as from its popular Fire TV products.

The app is dropping just before Amazon's upcoming NFL Thursday Night matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints, and also in time for the premiere of "The Grand Tour".

Most notable, the Rocky movies are coming to Prime.

This will allow users to stream Amazon original series and movies.

You can also browse by sports and view previous games.

While Google and Amazon continue to bicker back and forth about which company's services will be available for what platforms, it seems Apple is finally getting its act together now that Amazon Prime Video is available on the Apple TV.

The app is not yet available for us, but it should be out soon as the update for the iPhone and iPad has already gone live.

While Amazon appears to be patching things up with one of its rivals, another feud is building elsewhere.

And, after Amazon's refusal to sell a number of Google device that could rival its own - including Google's Chromecast and the Home speaker - Google has retaliated by pulling YouTube from Amazon's devices.

"We've been trying to reach agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other's products and services", a Google spokesperson said in a statement obtained by Engadget.

YouTube will stop working on Fire TV as of January 1 unless the two firms make amends in the next few weeks.
